{"id":30167,"date":"2018-10-26T14:29:42","date_gmt":"2018-10-26T08:59:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=30167"},"modified":"2018-10-26T14:29:42","modified_gmt":"2018-10-26T08:59:42","slug":"poor-success-rate-in-cases-of-atrocities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/poor-success-rate-in-cases-of-atrocities\/","title":{"rendered":"Poor success rate in cases of atrocities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/todays-paper\/tp-national\/poor-success-rate-in-cases-of-atrocities\/article23428968.ece\"><strong>Poor success rate in cases of atrocities<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Context <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As many as 47,338 cases of crimes against Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes were registered across the country in 2016, the LokSabha was informed<\/p>\n<p><strong>NCRB Data<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Scheduled castes<\/strong>: As per the information provided by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), a total of 40,774 cases were registered under the SC\/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and other sections of law over alleged crimes against SCs and STs <strong>in 2016<\/strong>.
