Why in the news?<\/h2>\n

Union Ministers of State for Health and Family Welfare has recently launched three initiatives at the \u0906\u092f\u0941\u0937\u094d\u092e\u093e\u0928 \u092d\u093e\u0930\u0924, \u0917\u0941\u0923\u0935\u0924\u094d\u0924 \u0938\u094d\u0935\u093e\u0938\u094d\u0925\u094d\u092f event<\/span> today. These initiatives aim to enhance healthcare services<\/span> and facilitate business operations<\/span> in India.<\/p>\n

1) Virtual Assessment for Ayushman Arogya Mandir<\/h2>\n

A) National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) were developed for various healthcare centres including District Hospitals<\/span>, Community Health Centres<\/span>, Ayushman Arogya Mandirs<\/span> (Sub Centres) etc to ensure quality healthcare services.<\/p>\n

B) The target is for all healthcare facilities to achieve full compliance<\/span> with NQAS by 2026.<\/p>\n

C) Online evaluations, including virtual tours<\/span> and interactions<\/span>, simplify the assessment process. Each facility undergoes a rigorous multi-level assessment<\/span> conducted by MoHFW-certified National Quality Assurance Standard Assessors to attain quality certification.<\/p>\n

2) IPHS Dashboard for Real-time monitoring of Public Health Facilities<\/h2>\n

A) The IPHS Dashboard is a digital platform<\/span> for real-time monitoring of public health facilities.
\nIt provides an overview of assessment and compliance status for District Hospitals, Sub-District Hospitals, Community Health Centers.Ayushman Arogya Mandirs etc.<\/p>\n

B) The dashboard uses the Open Data Kit (ODK)<\/span> for real-time data collection and analysis.
\nIt assists health officials in quickly identifying gaps<\/span> and making necessary improvements to uphold standards<\/span> in infrastructure, equipment, and human resources.<\/p>\n

C) The Ministry aims to ensure all healthcare institutions meet IPHS 2022 benchmarks<\/span> for delivering high-quality health<\/span> services.<\/p>\n

3) Food Safety and Compliance System (FoSCoS)-<\/h2>\n

A) FoSCoS is an advanced IT platform<\/span> across India for food safety regulation. It simplifies licensing<\/span> and registration processes<\/span>, enhancing user experience.<\/p>\n

B) FoSCoS supports self-compliance with online return filings, hygiene ratings,<\/span> and third-party audits. Integrated with other FSSAI IT platforms, it offers a comprehensive solution<\/span> for food business operators.<\/p>\n

C) FSSAI introduced instant issuance<\/span> of licences and registrations for low-risk food businesses through digital verification.<\/p>\n

D) Instant licences will be available for categories like wholesalers<\/span>, retailers, transporters<\/span>, and more, excluding high-risk foods such as milk<\/span>, meat,<\/span> and fish.<\/span><\/p>\n

E) Petty food businesses like snack retailers<\/span> and mobile vendors<\/span> also qualify for instant registration under this initiative.<\/p>\n
