Recently, First International Conference on Steel Slag Road jointly organized by CSIR-CRRI<\/span> and PHDCCI at New-Delhi.<\/p>\n

1. About:<\/strong> The international Conference on Steel Slag Road held on 29th June 2024 at New Delhi.<\/p>\n

2. Organized by:<\/strong> CSIR-CRRI and PHDCCI<\/p>\n

3. Key Outcomes:<\/strong><\/p>\n

i) Guidelines for the utilization and processing of steel slag<\/span> in road construction were released, promoting sustainable infrastructure.<\/p>\n

ii) The steel slag road technology has received international attention<\/span>, demonstrating confidence in its efficacy and environmental benefits.<\/p>\n

iii) Utilization of steel slag in road construction<\/span> reduces greenhouse gas emissions and carbon footprint, contributing to the Clean India Mission.<\/p>\n

About Steel Slag Road Technology:<\/h2>\n

1. The Central Road Research Institute<\/span> (CRRI), in collaboration with the Ministry of Steel and major steel manufacturing companies<\/span>, has developed this technology.<\/p>\n

2. Purpose:<\/strong> To address environmental challenges posed by steel slag waste<\/span>.<\/p>\n

3. Usage:<\/strong> Utilizes steel slag, a byproduct of steel production<\/span>, to build robust and durable roads.<\/p>\n

4. Process:<\/strong> Steel slag is processed to remove impurities and metal content, then used as an aggregate for road base or sub-base layers.<\/p>\n
