The Government of India has made it <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">mandatory for stainless steel <span style=\"color: #333333;\">and<\/span> aluminum utensils <span style=\"color: #333333;\">to conform to the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>2. This mandate aims <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">to enhance kitchen safety, quality, and efficiency.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>3. The <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Quality Control Order<\/span> was issued by the <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT)<\/span> on March 14, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>4. The <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">ISI mark is now compulsory for these utensils<\/span>, and non-compliance is punishable.<\/p>\n<h2>About BIS Standards for Kitchen Items<\/h2>\n<p>1. The BIS has developed <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">various standards to ensure kitchen utensils meet high quality and safety benchmarks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>2. These standards <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">promote superior product performance and consumer safety<\/span> while upholding cultural diversity in culinary practices.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Mandatory Certification:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>i) Stainless steel and aluminum utensils <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">must have BIS certification.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>ii) No one can manufacture, import, sell, distribute, store, hire, lease, or exhibit for sale any utensils that <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">do not meet BIS standards and bear the BIS Standard Mark<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>iii)\u00a0 Violations are subject to legal penalties.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.
