Launched by:<\/strong> Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) and TransUnion CIBIL<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Aim:<\/strong> SEHER aims to<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> increase financial awareness among women<\/span> entrepreneurs in India. The program also aims <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">to promote the importance of a good credit history and CIBIL score <\/span>for easier access to finance.<\/p>\n<p>3. The program helps women understand and manage credit which is crucial for business growth.<\/p>\n<p>4. <strong>Key Goals of SEHER: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>i) Financial Literacy:<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Educate women on financial topics,<\/span> including their CIBIL Rank and commercial credit reports.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ii) Business Skills:<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Provide resources and training<\/span> to help women manage and grow their businesses.<\/p>\n<p><strong>iii) Access to Finance:<\/strong> Help women<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> understand how to access and manage credit<\/span> effectively.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. WEP\u2019s Role:<\/strong> WEP is a <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">public-private partnership platform<\/span> incubated at NITI Aayog. It focuses on <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">creating an ecosystem that supports women entrepreneurs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>6. TransUnion CIBIL\u2019s Role:<\/strong> It provides <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">financial insights and credit information.<\/span> It aims to improve the financial skills of women entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7. Impact:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>i) Business loan demand by women has <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">grown 3.9 times<\/span> from FY 2019 to FY 2024.<\/p>\n<p>ii) 38% of the 1.5 crore borrowers with a business loan in March 2024 were women.<\/p>\n<p>iii) The portfolio balance for business loans by women <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">grew at 35% CAGR<\/span> from March 2019 to March 2024.<\/p>\n<p>8.\u00a0 SEHER will <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">offer personalized resources, financial literacy content, and tools<\/span> to women entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n<h2>Importance of Women Entrepreneurs in India:<\/h2>\n<p>i) India has 63 million micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), with 20% owned by women.<\/p>\n<p>ii)\u00a0 Women-owned businesses employ around 27 million people.<\/p>\n<p>iii)\u00a0 Accelerating women&#8217;s entrepreneurship could create over 30 million new businesses and up to 170 million new jobs.<\/p>\n<h2>About Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP):<\/h2>\n<p>i)\u00a0 WEP was established by <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">NITI Aayog<\/span> in<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> 2018<\/span> and became a public-private partnership in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>ii)\u00a0 WEP<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> supports women entrepreneurs<\/span> by providing entrepreneurship promotion. access to finance, market linkages, training and skills development, mentoring and networking, and business development services.<\/p>\n<h2>About TransUnion CIBIL:<\/h2>\n<p>i) TransUnion CIBIL is India\u2019s <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">leading information and insights company.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>ii) It provides solutions to <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">enhance economic opportunities and personal empowerment<\/span>.
