Why in the news?<\/h2>\n

Recently, the National Commission for Minorities conducted a video conference meeting, chaired by the Chairman of the Commission, with representatives from 18 States and Union Territories. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the implementation and registration of Sikh marriages under the Anand Marriage Act.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

About Anand Marriage Act<\/h2>\n

1. The Anand Marriage Act was passed in 1909<\/span>. It is a legal act in India specifically designed for the Sikh community<\/span>.<\/p>\n
