{"id":30398,"date":"2018-10-26T15:45:36","date_gmt":"2018-10-26T10:15:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=30398"},"modified":"2018-10-26T15:45:36","modified_gmt":"2018-10-26T10:15:36","slug":"10-missions-on-anvil-to-boost-exports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/10-missions-on-anvil-to-boost-exports\/","title":{"rendered":"10 missions on anvil to boost exports\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/todays-paper\/tp-business\/10-missions-on-anvil-to-boost-exports\/article23327249.ece\"><strong>10 missions on anvil to boost exports\u2019<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>What has happened?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Union Cabinet is likely to approve 10 new market development missions to aid exports, Union Minister for Commerce &amp; Industry and Civil Aviation Suresh Prabhu said on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Imports outpacing exports: a matter of concern<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Exports are growing this year because the base has been low for the past three to four years<\/li>\n<li>So though exports are growing, still it is underperformance considering that the world economy is growing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Champion Services<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Centre has identified 12 services as \u2018champion services\u2019 and the Cabinet has approved Rs. 5,000 crore for promoting them<\/li>\n<li>Action plan for each of these sectors has been prepared which will promote the services domestically and globally e.g. medical tourism and aviation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Development of Clusters<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Work is also on to identify clusters which are traditionally known for exports of certain products around coastal areas so that exports can happen faster<\/p>\n<p><strong>Agricultural Hubs<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are also identifying agricultural exports as a major thrust area<\/li>\n<li>Plans to create air hubs to evacuate agri products faster<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>10 missions on anvil to boost exports\u2019 What has happened?
