Late blight is a <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">fungal infection<\/span> caused by Phytophthora infestans.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0 It seriously <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">threatens potato crops<\/span> causing significant yield losses and reducing tuber quality.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Weather Conditions Favor Disease Spread:<\/strong> Cool and moist Weather conditions are ideal for the spread of late blight disease.<\/p>\n<h2>Advisory for Farmers<\/h2>\n<p><strong>i) Proactive Management: <\/strong>Emphasis was placed on timely management to prevent disease outbreaks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ii) Spray fungicide<\/strong> containing <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">mancozeb chlorothalonil<\/span> at 0.2% (2 kg in 1,000 litres of water per hectare) immediately if the crop is not yet showing symptoms.
