However, experts argue this doesn\u2019t necessarily indicate a permanent breach of the 1.5\u00b0C threshold.<\/p>\n<p>3) <strong>Temperature Measurement<\/strong> &#8211; To account for annual temperature fluctuations like those from El Ni\u00f1o, scientists use a 20-year average, combining the past 10 years with projections for the next 10 years. This method shows the current average temperature increase is about 1.3\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Way forward<\/strong>&#8211; Despite these disagreements among scientists, the IPCC projects that 1.5\u00b0C threshold will be breached by 2040.
