Why in the news?<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has introduced a new initiative for students in Classes 6 to 8.<\/p>\n

About Bagless Days<\/h2>\n

1. Bagless days are special days when students don\u2019t carry their usual school bags.<\/p>\n

2. Purpose:<\/strong> These days are meant to give students a break from regular classes and textbooks.<\/p>\n

3. What Happens on Bagless Days?<\/strong><\/p>\n

i) Learning from Experts: Students will participate in activities led by local vocational experts. These experts will include Carpenters, Gardeners, Potters, Artists.<\/p>\n

ii) Teachers will organize these activities to help students learn new skills and understand different jobs.<\/p>\n

4. Why Are Bagless Days Important?<\/strong><\/p>\n

i) They provide students with a chance to experience and learn about the world outside the classroom.<\/p>\n

ii) Students will engage in practical activities, which helps them see how theoretical knowledge applies in real life.<\/p>\n

iii) These days help students learn about their community and how different jobs contribute to it.<\/p>\n

5. Curriculum Themes:<\/strong> The activities during bagless days are divided into three main themes:<\/p>\n

i) Science, Environment, and Technology exploring aspects of these fields.<\/p>\n

ii) Understanding how local businesses and public offices operate.<\/p>\n

iii) Learning about local culture, art, and historical practices.<\/p>\n
