The <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">faculty-to-student ratio requirement<\/span> has been modified for <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">medical institutes<\/span> (from <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">1:15 to 1:10<\/span>) and <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">state government universities<\/span> (from <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">1:15 to 1:20<\/span>).<br \/>\n2. Institutions were assessed based on five broad parameters: teaching, learning and resources, research and professional practice, graduation outcomes, outreach and inclusivity, and perception.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"height: 300px;\">\n<td style=\"width: 22.4604%; height: 300px;\"><strong>Top Institutions<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 77.5396%; height: 300px;\">1. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">IIT Madras<\/span> retained its 1st position in the Overall Category for the sixth consecutive year.<br \/>\n2. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru<\/span> topped the Universities Category for the ninth consecutive year.<br \/>\n3. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">IIM Ahmedabad<\/span> maintained its top position in the Management category for the fifth consecutive year.<br \/>\n4. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">AIIMS New Delhi<\/span> secured the top position in Medical for the seventh consecutive year.<br \/>\n5. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Jawaharlal Nehru University<\/span> (JNU) and <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Jamia Millia Islamia<\/span> are also among the top universities.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"height: 90px;\">\n<td style=\"width: 22.4604%; height: 90px;\"><strong>Participation Growth<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 77.5396%; height: 90px;\">The number of unique institutions participating in the rankings increased from 2,426 in 2016 to 6,517 in 2024, with total applications rising from 3,565 in 2016 to 10,845 in 2024.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"height: 150px;\">\n<td style=\"width: 22.4604%; height: 150px;\"><strong>New Category Leaders<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 77.5396%; height: 150px;\">1. Anna University, Chennai topped the newly introduced State Public Universities category.<br \/>\n2. IGNOU, New Delhi led the Open Universities category.<br \/>\n3.
