This approval is <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">for adults and children weighing at least 30 kg.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>2, Impact of FDA Approval:<\/strong> The approval of Neffy could be transformative, particularly in low- and middle-income countries where access to <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">epinephrine<\/span> auto-injectors is limited. Neffy also showed comparable effects on increasing blood pressure and heart rate, where both are critical factors in treating anaphylaxis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>3. Benefits for Children:<\/strong> Neffy\u2019s nasal spray format is expected to be particularly beneficial for children, who often fear injections and may struggle with self-administration. It is a simpler, more accessible method of administering life-saving treatment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Epinephrine is a hormone and neurotransmitter used to treat allergic reactions<\/span>, restore cardiac rhythm, and manage conditions such as mucosal congestion, glaucoma, and asthma,\u00a0making it the only life-saving treatment for anaphylaxis.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">About Anaphylaxis<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1. Anaphylaxis is a <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">severe and potentially life-threatening allergic reaction<\/span> that can occur rapidly after exposure to an allergen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">2. Symptoms can appear within seconds or minutes of exposure to the allergen, such as peanuts, bee stings, certain foods, some medications, insect venom, or latex.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>3. Symptoms: \u00a0<\/strong>It includes sudden drop in blood pressure, narrowing of the airways, leading to difficulty breathing, rapid and weak pulse, skin rash and nausea and vomiting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">4. <strong style=\"color: var(--global--color-primary); font-family: var(--global--font-secondary); font-size: var(--global--font-size-base);\">Immune Response:\u00a0<\/strong>Anaphylaxis triggers the immune system to release a large amount of chemicals, leading to shock.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>5. Treatment:<\/strong> It requires an immediate injection of epinephrine. Without prompt treatment, anaphylaxis can be fatal.
