Why in News?<\/h2>\n

The Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine & Homoeopathy (PCIM&H) has achieved key Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Integrated Management System (IMS) Certifications.<\/p>\n

Significance of the Certifications:<\/strong> These certifications represent a commitment to upholding global standards in quality, environmental stewardship, and workplace safety, thereby enhancing operational efficiency within PCIM&H.<\/p>\n

This also supports the Ministry of Ayush’s mission to elevate the standards in Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, and Homoeopathy (ASU&H).<\/p>\n

About PCIM&H<\/h2>\n

1. About:<\/strong> It is a subordinate office under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.<\/p>\n

2. It was created by merging Pharmacopoeia Commission of Indian Medicine & Homoeopathy (PCIM&H) and the two central laboratories namely Pharmacopoeia Laboratory for Indian Medicine (PLIM), Ghaziabad and Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia Laboratory (HPL).<\/p>\n

3. Vision:<\/strong> To serve as the primary authority in setting quality standards for drugs used in Indian Systems of Medicine and Homeopathy.<\/p>\n

4. Mission:<\/strong> To develop quality standards for drugs utilized in Indian Systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy and function as the Central Drug Testing and Appellate Laboratory for these systems.<\/p>\n

5. Function:\u00a0<\/strong> The Commission is involved in developing pharmacopoeial standards for Ayurvedic, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathic drugs.\u00a0 PCIM&H also serves as the Central Drug Testing and Appellate Laboratory for Indian systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy.<\/p>\n
