Why in News?<\/h2>\n

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry is launching the Bharat Startup Knowledge Access Registry<\/span> (BHASKAR). It is a digital platform aimed at boosting India\u2019s startup ecosystem.<\/p>\n

It is part of the Startup India program<\/span>, and seeks to centralize and streamline collaboration<\/span> among stakeholders such as startups, investors, mentors, service providers, and government bodies.<\/p>\n

Need for BHASKAR<\/h2>\n

India is home to over 1,46,000 DPIIT-recognized startups. This makes India a global startup hub. BHASKAR aims to leverage this potential by providing a one-stop digital platform that addresses the challenges faced by entrepreneurs and investors<\/span>.<\/p>\n
