Sepsis<\/strong> occurs when the <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">immune system reacts dangerously to a bacterial infection<span style=\"color: #333333;\">. This<\/span> <\/span>potentially leads to organ failure without treatment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>2. Sepsis Deaths in India:<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Lower respiratory infections accounted for 27% of sepsis deaths in India<\/span>. Among children under five, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">streptococcus pneumoniae<\/span> was the deadliest bacterial infection.<\/p>\n<h2>About Antimicrobial resistance<\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/forumias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/antibiotic.jpg?resize=527%2C539&amp;ssl=1\" \/><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>1. <\/strong><b>Antimicrobial resistance- <\/b>It occurs when <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">microbes<\/span> (bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites) become <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">resistant to antimicrobial drugs<\/span> (such as antibiotics, antifungals, antivirals, antimalarials, and anthelmintics). As a result, the medicines become ineffective and infections persist in the body, increasing the risk of spread to others.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>2. Global Trends in AMR-<\/strong>\u00a0Globally, deaths from <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">methicillin-resistant S. aureus<\/span> (MRSA) has more than doubled.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.
