About:<\/strong> Cellulitis is a <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">common bacterial skin infection<\/span>. It affects the deeper layers of the skin and enters through a break or crack in the upper layer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Causes:<\/strong> It is primarily caused by the <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Streptococcus<\/span> and <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Staphylococcus bacteria<\/span>. The bacteria enter through cuts, bruises, scrapes, insect bites (e.g., bedbugs, mosquitoes), and other injuries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Risk:<\/strong> It is common among <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">people working in agricultural fields<\/span>, construction sites, and individuals with compromised skin integrity. Those with diseases like leukaemia, HIV-AIDS, and diabetes, which lower immunity, are at higher risk.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Symptoms:<\/strong> Visible Signs include <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">swollen skin<\/span>, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">red rashes<\/span> that appear suddenly, and pain or tenderness in the affected area. Other Symptoms includes fever, chills, and sweating.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Treatment: <\/strong>Cellulitis is treated effectively with <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">antibiotics<\/span>, and most individuals recover fully within 24 hours after treatment.\u00a0Quick treatment is crucial to prevent complications.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6. Complications:<\/strong> If left untreated, cellulitis <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">can enter the bloodstream<\/span> and spread to other parts of the body, which can be life-threatening.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7. Prevention:<\/strong> Maintaining proper hygiene can help<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> prevent cellulitis<\/span>, especially for people with lower immunity.
