Objective: The relaxations aim to empower Indian start-ups to participate in AI infrastructure development, fostering innovation and supporting India&#8217;s AI growth, especially in critical sectors like healthcare, agriculture, and governance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">2. This initiative is part of the Rs 10,370 crore India AI Mission, which aims to establish a computing infrastructure with over 10,000 GPUs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">3. It also seeks to support the development of foundational models with capacities exceeding 100 billion parameters, trained on datasets that encompass key Indian languages.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">4. These models will address priority sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, and governance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">5. The goal is to create an infrastructure within the country that start-ups can utilize to develop AI systems.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>6. Annual Turnover Requirement:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0For primary bidders: Lowered from Rs 100 crore to Rs 50 crore.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0For non-primary consortium members: Halved from Rs 50 crore to Rs 25 crore.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>7. Compute Capacity Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">FP16 performance threshold reduced from 300 TFLOPS to 150 TFLOPS.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">AI compute memory requirement lowered from 40 GB to 24 GB.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>8. Experience Criteria:<\/strong> Bidders must now disclose AI services provided in the last three financial years (2020-2023), with a minimum billing of Rs 10 lakh. Extra points are awarded based on the number of clients serviced.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>9. Local Component Sourcing:<\/strong> In line with \u2018Make in India\u2019 guidelines, components for cloud services must be sourced from Class I (50%+ domestic value) or Class II (20-50% domestic value) local suppliers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>10.
