About:<\/strong> The <strong>Unified Genomic Chip<\/strong> is an initiative aimed at improving livestock breeding in India, specifically targeting cattle and buffalo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Purpose:\u00a0<\/strong> To help farmers identify high-quality cattle early and improve dairy farming efficiency in India.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.\u00a0 Versions of the Chip: \u00a0<\/strong>The chip comes in two versions: the \u2018Gau Chip\u2019 for cattle and the \u2018Mahish Chip\u2019 for buffalo.\u00a0Both versions are tailored specifically for Indian cattle breeds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Developed by:<\/strong> The chip was developed by the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD) under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5.
