India produces 2 major types of coffee: Arabica and Robusta.<\/p>\n<p>2. Arabica has a higher market value due to its mild aromatic flavour.<\/p>\n<p>3. Robusta is used in making various blends due to its strong flavour and accounts for 72% of the total production of Indian coffee.<\/p>\n<p>4. India was the 5th largest exporter of coffee in the world, with a share of about 6% of global coffee exports in the year 2021-22.<\/p>\n<p>5. Leading coffee producing states: Karnataka &gt; Kerala &gt; Tamil Nadu.<\/p>\n<p>6. Coffee Board of India: It is a statutory organisation constituted under Coffee Act, 1942, functioning under the administrative control of Ministry of Commerce and Industry, GOI.<\/p>\n<p>7.
