The guidelines are inspired by traditional Indian wisdom, particularly the concepts of kaal (time), sthan (place), and patra (actor), for nurturing leadership in academic institutions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Importance:<\/strong> There is need to foster and promote leadership within HEIs to navigate their complexities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Comprehensive Framework:<\/strong> The guidelines present a framework aimed at developing the next generation of academic leaders by balancing personal and institutional growth.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Leadership as an Art and Science:<\/strong> The guidelines focus on the blend of artistry and science in leadership, emphasizing mentorship, continuous learning, and an understanding of the unique dynamics within institutions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Balance Between Administrative and Innovative Roles:<\/strong> Effective leadership requires balancing administrative duties with fostering innovation, inclusivity, and industry collaboration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6. Tailored Leadership Programs:<\/strong> Institutions are encouraged to design leadership programs tailored to local and national challenges, focusing on skill development, strategic vision, and adaptability.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7. Alignment with National Education Policy (NEP) 2020:<\/strong> The guidelines align with NEP 2020, focusing on preparing faculty for leadership in new educational frameworks, such as multidisciplinary approaches, autonomy, and the introduction of an academic bank of credits.<\/p>\n<p><strong>8.
