Withholding or withdrawing life-sustaining treatment is not a withdrawal of care but a <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">shift to palliative support<\/span>, which is aimed at minimizing pain and enhancing comfort.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><a id=\"toc2\"><\/a>What has been the history of evolution of Right to die in India?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The right to refuse medical treatment has always existed in common law, even if it results in death.
