Why in the News?<\/h2>\n

The Ayushman Vay Vandana Card under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY)<\/a> has enrolled over 10 lakh senior citizens aged 70+ within just three weeks of its launch.<\/p>\n

Features<\/strong><\/td>\n1. Coverage<\/strong>– It provides \u20b95 lakh annual health coverage per family<\/span>, shared if multiple elderly individuals live in one household<\/span>.
\n2. Registration Process<\/strong>-Beneficiaries must register on the PM-JAY portal or Ayushman app<\/span> and complete eKYC to activate the new card, even if they already have an Ayushman card.
\n3. Aligned with other schemes<\/strong>:
\na.<\/strong> Beneficiaries of government health programs like Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS)<\/span> and Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) can choose to keep their current coverage or switch to Ayushman Bharat benefits.
\nb.<\/strong> Also, available to individuals covered by the Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC)<\/span> and those with private health insurance.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
