It is a significant hydropower project situated in the high-altitude, challenging terrain of Ladakh.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Developed and operated by:\u00a0<\/strong> NHPC Limited<\/p>\n<p>3. <strong>Location<\/strong>:\u00a0<span style=\"background-color: var(--global--color-background); color: var(--global--color-primary); font-family: var(--global--font-secondary); font-size: var(--global--font-size-base);\">located in the Leh District of the Union Territory of Ladakh.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Installed Capacity<\/strong>: 45 MW, contributing substantially to meeting the energy demands of the region.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Energy Source<\/strong>: The project utilizes the flow of the <strong>Indus River,<\/strong> a perennial source of water, making it an eco-friendly and renewable energy initiative.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6. Role in Development<\/strong>: As Ladakh undergoes rapid infrastructure and developmental transformation, this power station plays a pivotal role in ensuring a stable and green energy supply for both residential and commercial needs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7.
