Why in news?<\/h2>\n

Recently, \u201c#AbKoiBahanaNahi\u201d national campaign was launched by Union Minister for Women and Child Development.<\/p>\n

The campaign is launched in conjunction with the \u2018Nayi Chetna 3.0 campaign,\u2019 spearheaded by the Ministry of Rural Development, to amplify the call to action for ending gender-based violence and ensuring no one is left behind.<\/p>\n

About the Campaign\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Name:<\/strong> #AbKoiBahanaNahi (No More Excuses)<\/p>\n

2. Objective:<\/strong> To mobilize public, government, and stakeholders to take actionable steps to end gender-based violence.<\/p>\n

3. Collaborative Effort:<\/strong> Jointly spearheaded by the Ministries of Women and Child Development and Rural Development, with support from UN Women.<\/p>\n

4. 16 Days of Activism:<\/strong> The campaign aligns with the global observance from 25th November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) to 10th December (Human Rights Day).<\/p>\n

5. UN Global Campaign:<\/strong>It builds\u00a0on the United Nations\u2019 #NoExcuse initiative to spotlight the growing violence against women and demand accountability.<\/p>\n

6.<\/strong> Broader Goals<\/strong><\/p>\n

i) Raise Awareness:<\/strong> Revitalize national and global commitments to combating gender-based violence.<\/p>\n

ii) Encourage Accountability:<\/strong> Focus on shared responsibility among governments, organizations, and citizens.<\/p>\n

iii) Highlight Urgency:<\/strong> Emphasize the immediate need to eliminate all forms of violence against women and girls.<\/p>\n

Key Highlights of the Campaign<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Zero Tolerance:<\/strong> Promotes a national stance against any form of gender-based violence.<\/p>\n

2. Film Release:<\/strong> Launch of a film under #AbKoiBahanaNahi to stress accountability and inspire citizens to pledge against violence.<\/p>\n

3. Call to Action:<\/strong> Urges every individual and stakeholder to actively contribute to ending violence against women and girls.<\/p>\n
