News:<\/strong> Recently, the Union Minister for Education launched the DTH 24×7 Channel No. 31, as a part of PM e-Vidya initiative, to provide education through Indian Sign Language for students who have hearing disabilities.<\/p>\n

The scheme was launched in May 2020<\/strong><\/em>, as part of the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan<\/strong><\/em>, by the Ministry of Education.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

It aims to promote inclusive, accessible and high-quality education<\/em><\/strong> through digital platforms<\/strong><\/em> to minimise learning loss, particularly in the aftermath of the pandemic.<\/p>\n

The scheme aligns with the vision of the National Economic Policy (NEP) 2020<\/strong><\/em>, aiming to provide equitable and quality education throughout the country.<\/p>\n

The scheme utilises technology<\/em><\/strong> to ensure education is accessible to all students, thereby bridging the digital divide<\/em><\/strong> for learners across the country.<\/p>\n

Key components of PM e-Vidya<\/h2>\n

DIKSHA:<\/strong> It serves as a national repository of digital content<\/strong><\/em>, including e-learning modules, textbooks, and teaching resources for teachers and students.<\/p>\n

PM e-Vidya DTH TV Channels:<\/strong> Includes 200 DTH channels, enabling students to access educational content in multiple Indian languages for classes 1-12 across States\/UTs.<\/p>\n

SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds):<\/strong> A national MOOC platform providing free online courses for students from schools to university levels.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Radio, Community Radio & CBSE Podcast- Shiksha Vani:<\/strong> These platforms are used to deliver educational content to a broader audience<\/strong><\/em>, particularly in regions with limited internet connectivity.<\/p>\n

Digitally Accessible Information System (DAISY):<\/strong> E content tailored for visually and hearing-impaired students such as audiobooks, sign language videos, and talking books, is available on the NIOS website and Youtube.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
