India\u2019s Digital Public Infrastructure is a comprehensive system designed to enable inclusive and equitable development through technology. According to the \u201cG20 Task Force on Digital Public Infrastructure<\/span>,\u201d DPI is described as an infrastructure-based approach that leverages technology to achieve societal goals. It does so through an ecosystem comprising technology, markets, and governance<\/span> built in the public interest, while also allowing for private innovation within regulatory guardrails.<\/p>\n

India\u2019s DPI is built upon three interconnected layers,<\/span> collectively referred to as the \u201cIndia Stack\u201d:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Identity Layer:<\/strong> This includes Aadhaar, India\u2019s digital identity system, e-KYC<\/span> (electronic Know Your Customer), and other systems that verify identity electronically.<\/li>\n
