It takes a weak electrical signal and makes it stronger so it can be heard or processed more effectively.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For example, in audio systems, amplifiers make a quiet sound louder so that it can be heard clearly through speakers.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>How is the Sound Amplified?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once the microphone converts sound into an electrical signal, the signal is very weak. It needs to be strengthened before it can be sent to a speaker.
