On the <strong>east side<\/strong> (near Australia), animals like <strong>tree-kangaroos and the Komodo dragon<\/strong> are found.<\/li>\n<li>While the Wallace Line is a <strong>barrier for terrestrial species<\/strong>, <strong>it doesn\u2019t stop marine life<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The area around the Wallace Line, known as <strong>Wallacea<\/strong>, is a <strong>biodiversity hotspot<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding the Wallace Line helps scientists learn more about how <strong>animals evolved and spread across the world<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: The Wallace Line is in news due to recent research shedding new light on the complex biogeographical patterns of Southeast Asia and Australia.
