Risks of Aligning Too Closely:<\/strong> However, close cooperation with Russia could imply support for China<\/strong>\u2019<\/strong>s Polar Silk Road<\/strong>, part of its Belt and Road Initiative<\/strong>. This would let China bypass the Malacca Strait<\/strong> and gain greater control over Arctic routes.<\/li>\n
        3. Balancing Global Powers:<\/strong> On the other hand, aligning with the U.S. might limit access<\/strong> to Russian Arctic resources. The ideal but difficult approach is to engage both blocs<\/strong>. India should also partner with Japan and South Korea<\/strong>, who share concerns about China\u2013<\/strong>Russia dominance<\/strong>. Together, they can push for a more equitable Arctic Council<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
