Ltd. v. Indian Express Newspaper<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"620\" data-end=\"642\">Supreme Court (SC)<\/strong> recognised the Right to Know as intrinsic to <strong data-start=\"688\" data-end=\"715\">participatory democracy<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"719\" data-end=\"862\">The SC emphasised that in an increasingly interconnected global society, the concept of <strong data-start=\"807\" data-end=\"818\">liberty<\/strong> must be interpreted expansively, including: The <strong data-start=\"871\" data-end=\"897\">right to hold opinions and th<\/strong>e <strong data-start=\"906\" data-end=\"950\">right to receive and sustain information<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"953\" data-end=\"1096\">Hence, <strong data-start=\"960\" data-end=\"974\">Article 21<\/strong> confers on every person a <strong data-start=\"1001\" data-end=\"1018\">Right to know<\/strong>, which includes access to information essential for informed decision-making.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1148\" data-end=\"1281\">In <strong data-start=\"1151\" data-end=\"1177\">PUCL v.
