  • Intended beneficiary:<\/strong> Farmers<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Tenure<\/strong>: 5 Years (FY 2021-22 to FY 2025-26)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Agriculture Infrastructure Fund<\/b>:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    • Purpose<\/strong>: To address the existing infrastructure gaps and mobilize investment in agriculture infrastructure.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Type<\/strong>: Central Sector Scheme<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Implementing Agency<\/strong>: NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development)<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Tenure<\/strong>: Up to 2032- 33<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Objective<\/strong>: To mobilize a medium to long term debt financing facility for investment in viable projects for post-harvest management Infrastructure and community farming assets.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • AIF was launched as part of the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan (Self-Reliant India Campaign) announced by the Centre in May 2020.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      AgriSURE (Agri Fund for Start-ups & Rural Enterprises) Scheme<\/b>:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

      • Purpose<\/strong>: To support innovative, high-risk, high-impact activities in agriculture and allied areas.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Fund\u2019s sponsors<\/strong>: Government of India and <\/span>NABARD<\/b><\/li>\n
      • Investment Manager<\/strong>: NABVENTURES Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of NABARD<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Tenure of the Fund<\/strong>: 10 years<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Objectives<\/strong>:<\/span>\n
          \n
        • Foster investment in agriculture and rural start-ups by supporting Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs).<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Strengthen farm produce value chains for better profits through profitable forward and backward linkage systems.<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Create jobs for skilled rural and urban youth.<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Retain and attract youth to agriculture.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n

                Cluster Development Programme<\/b>:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

                • Government has launched new digital platform CDP-SURAKSHA to disburse subsidies to horticulture farmers.<\/span><\/li>\n
                • CDP aims to <\/span>improve exports of targeted crops by about 20% <\/b>and <\/span>create cluster-specific brands <\/b>to enhance the competitiveness of cluster crops.<\/span><\/li>\n
                • Purpose: <\/b>To leverage geographical specialisation of horticulture clusters and promote integrated development of <\/span>pre-production, production, post-harvest, logistics, branding, and marketing activities<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n

                    • Beneficiaries<\/b>: All the <\/span>landholding farmers, <\/b>subject to certain exclusions<\/span><\/li>\n
                    • Benefits: \u20b96,000 per year <\/b>in three equal <\/span>instalments of \u20b9 2,000 <\/b>each every four months.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n

        • Purpose<\/strong>: To provide universal access to more than 13,000 scholarly journals from 30 major international publishers.<\/span><\/li>\n
