Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (QSD) or Quad:<\/strong>\u00a0It is an informal strategic forum<\/span> among like-minded democracies across the Indian and the Pacific Ocean, which is aimed to ensure and support a ‘free<\/span>, open<\/span> and prosperous<\/span>‘ Indo-Pacific region. It comprises of the USA, India, Japan, and Australia.<\/p>\n

History of Quad:

5. Lack of Consensus on Security Issues:<\/strong>\u00a0India’s traditional wariness of formal military alliances<\/span> and preference for strategic autonomy, impedes the further deepening of cooperation on security issues.<\/p>\n
