{"id":342959,"date":"2025-07-17T15:51:27","date_gmt":"2025-07-17T10:21:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/?p=342959"},"modified":"2025-07-17T15:51:27","modified_gmt":"2025-07-17T10:21:27","slug":"prime-minister-dhan-dhaanya-krishi-yojana-pm-ddky","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/prime-minister-dhan-dhaanya-krishi-yojana-pm-ddky\/","title":{"rendered":"Prime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PM DDKY)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>News:<\/strong> The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister has approved the \u201cPrime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana\u201d for a period of six years, beginning with 2025-26 to cover 100 districts.<\/p>\n<h2>About Prime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PM DDKY)<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_342960\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-342960\" style=\"width: 315px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-342960\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/forumias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Source-PIB.jpg?resize=315%2C416&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"315\" height=\"416\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/forumias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Source-PIB.jpg?resize=227%2C300&amp;ssl=1 227w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/forumias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Source-PIB.jpg?w=450&amp;ssl=1 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 315px) 100vw, 315px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-342960\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source &#8211; PIB<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a first of its kind scheme, <strong>focusing exclusively on agriculture and allied sectors<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The scheme was first announced in the <strong>Union Budget 2025-26<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The Scheme draws inspiration from <strong>NITI Aayog\u2019s Aspirational District Programme<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Convergence:<\/strong> The Scheme will be implemented through <strong>convergence of 36 existing schemes<\/strong> across 11 Departments, other State schemes and local partnerships with the private sector.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Outlay:<\/strong> Budget documents do<strong> not provide a separate allocation <\/strong>for the scheme.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Objectives:<\/strong> The scheme has <strong>five<\/strong> objectives:\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-roman;\">\n<li>Enhancing agricultural productivity<\/li>\n<li>Adopting crop diversification and sustainable agriculture practices<\/li>\n<li>Augmenting post-harvest storage at the panchayat and block level<\/li>\n<li>Improving irrigation facilities<\/li>\n<li>Facilitating availability of long-term and short-term credit.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Implementation of scheme<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Identification of districts:<\/strong> 100 districts will be identified <strong>based on three key indicators<\/strong> of <strong>low productivity, low cropping intensity, and less credit disbursement. <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Number of districts:<\/strong> The number of districts in <strong>each state\/UT<\/strong> will be <strong>based<\/strong> on the <strong>share of Net Cropped Area and operational holdings<\/strong>.\n<ul>\n<li>However, a <strong>minimum of 1 district<\/strong> will be selected from <strong>each state<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Planning Committees:<\/strong> The <strong>Committees<\/strong> will be formed at <strong>District, State and National level<\/strong> for effective <strong>planning, implementation and monitoring<\/strong> of the Scheme.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>District Agriculture and Allied Activities Plan<\/strong> will be finalized by the <strong>District Dhan Dhaanya Samiti<\/strong>, which will also have progressive <strong>farmers as members<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>District Plans<\/strong> will be <strong>aligned to the national goals<\/strong> of crop diversification, conservation of water and soil health, self-sufficiency in agriculture and allied sectors as well as expansion of natural and organic farming.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Monitoring:<\/strong> Progress of the Scheme in each Dhan-Dhaanya district will be <strong>monitored on 117 key Performance Indicators<\/strong> through a dashboard on monthly basis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister has approved the \u201cPrime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana\u201d for a period of six years, beginning with 2025-26 to cover 100 districts.
