{"id":343104,"date":"2025-07-19T17:15:26","date_gmt":"2025-07-19T11:45:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/?p=343104"},"modified":"2025-07-19T17:15:26","modified_gmt":"2025-07-19T11:45:26","slug":"swachh-survekshan-2024-25-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/swachh-survekshan-2024-25-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Swachh Survekshan 2024-25 Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>News:<\/strong> The Swachh Survekshan 2024-25 Awards was hosted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA).<\/p>\n<h2><strong>About Swachh Survekshan 2024-25 Awards<\/strong><\/h2>\n<figure style=\"width: 392px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/static.pib.gov.in\/WriteReadData\/userfiles\/image\/WhatsAppImage2025-07-17at2.49.55PMFOR6.jpeg?resize=392%2C490&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Swachh Survekshan 2024-25 Awards\" width=\"392\" height=\"490\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: PIB<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>A total of <strong>43 national awards<\/strong> were announced, recognizing excellence in urban cleanliness and sanitation across India.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Indore, Surat, and Navi Mumbai<\/strong> were felicitated for entering the <strong>premier Super Swachh League<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ahmedabad, Bhopal, and Lucknow<\/strong> were declared as <strong>India\u2019s new clean cities<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>A total of <strong>34 cities<\/strong> from various States and Union Territories were honoured as <strong>Promising Swachh Shehars<\/strong>, based on the<strong> \u2018One City, One Award\u2019 principle.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The city of <strong>Prayagraj<\/strong> was awarded the title of <strong>Best Ganga Town<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Secunderabad Cantonment Board<\/strong> received the award for <strong>Best Cantonment Board<\/strong> for its exemplary sanitation and waste management practices.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Visakhapatnam (GVMC), Jabalpur, and Gorakhpur<\/strong> were declared as <strong>Best SaifaiMitra Surakshit Shehar<\/strong> for ensuring the safety and dignity of sanitation workers.<\/li>\n<li>The survey framework for Swachh Survekshan 2024-25 was refined to accommodate <strong>five population categories<\/strong> and included <strong>ten new assessment parameters<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The framework was also <strong>simplified for small cities<\/strong>, creating a <strong>level playing field<\/strong> and encouraging competitive participation.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Swachh City Partnership initiative<\/strong> was also launched, under which <strong>78 top-performing cities<\/strong> will mentor one underperforming city each from their respective States.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Accelerated Dumpsite Remediation Program<\/strong> was also announced\u00a0aiming to remediate legacy waste and increase scientific processing capacity within a year.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Swachh Survekshan 2024-25 Results Dashboard<\/strong> was digitally launched, providing an interactive view of city rankings, performance, and cleanliness achievements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: The Swachh Survekshan 2024-25 Awards was hosted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA).
