This shrine remains a revered pilgrimage site for people from neighboring islands.<\/li>\n<li>Bitra has a <strong>tropical climate<\/strong> ranges from 32<sup>o<\/sup>C (Max.) to 28<sup>o<\/sup>C (Min.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Strategic importance of Bitra Island<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Bitra Island holds strategic importance for India due to its position in the Arabian Sea, close to major international shipping lanes.<\/li>\n<li>Its location makes Bitra ideal for enhancing India\u2019s maritime surveillance and defence capabilities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bitra is set to become the third island in the Lakshadweep<\/strong> <strong>archipelago to host a defence establishment<\/strong>.
