{"id":343758,"date":"2025-07-31T17:12:36","date_gmt":"2025-07-31T11:42:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/?p=343758"},"modified":"2025-07-31T17:12:36","modified_gmt":"2025-07-31T11:42:36","slug":"skill-impact-bond-sib","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/skill-impact-bond-sib\/","title":{"rendered":"Skill Impact Bond (SIB)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>News:<\/strong> Women are leading the way in India\u2019s first outcome-based Skill Impact Bond (SIB) initiative.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>About Skill Impact Bond (SIB)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The Skill Impact Bond (SIB) is <strong>India\u2019s first outcome-based skilling initiative.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Launched:<\/strong> 2021 by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship through the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).<\/li>\n<li>The initiative is a collaborative effort between the public, private, and philanthropic sectors and supported by a consortium that includes the <strong>British Asian Trust, Children\u2019s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), JSW Foundation, HSBC India, and Dubai Cares.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Aim:<\/strong> To train 50,000 youth across India, with a target of at least 30,150 individuals being retained in jobs for a minimum duration of three months.<\/li>\n<li>The initiative places a<strong> strong emphasis on inclusion, particularly in creating economic opportunities for women and marginalized communities.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Feature:<\/strong> One of the most notable features of the SIB is its <strong>outcome-based financing model, where <\/strong>instead of funding being tied to enrolment or certification, it is linked to job placement and retention outcomes.\n<ul>\n<li>Training providers are incentivized to ensure long-term success by offering onboarding support, counselling, and continued engagement with alumni.<\/li>\n<li>This model shifts the focus from inputs and outputs to actual, measurable impact.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Significance<\/strong>: The Skill Impact Bond is transforming lives by <strong>instilling confidence, fostering identity, and giving young people, <\/strong>especially women.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Status:<\/strong> As of now, over <strong>23,700 youth have been trained through the SIB,<\/strong> with <strong>women accounting for approximately 72% of the beneficiaries<\/strong>.\n<ul>\n<li>Training has been provided in <strong>30 job roles across 13 sectors,<\/strong> involving more than 700 employers.<\/li>\n<li><strong>75% of trained individuals have secured employment,<\/strong> and<strong> 60% have remained in their jobs beyond three months,<\/strong> surpassing national retention averages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: Women are leading the way in India\u2019s first outcome-based Skill Impact Bond (SIB) initiative.
