The event has renewed focus on the seismic vulnerability of this region and similar global zones.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The Kamchatka Earthquake and Tsunami Impact<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Scale and Location: <\/strong>The earthquake, one of the strongest globally, struck about 6,500 km east of Moscow.
