These units have a total of <strong>4,611 beds<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The facilities have been set up by <strong>Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs)<\/strong> at their <strong>retail fuel outlets<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Objective of the Programme<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>To provide <strong>resting and refreshment facilities<\/strong> for truck drivers on <strong>national and state highways<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>To reduce <strong>driver fatigue<\/strong> and promote <strong>road safety<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>To improve the <strong>quality of life<\/strong> for truckers by offering hygienic and dignified rest areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Key Facilities Offered<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Each Apna Ghar unit includes:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Dormitory accommodation<\/strong> for rest and sleep.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Restaurants or dhabas<\/strong> offering meals.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Clean toilets<\/strong> and <strong>dedicated bathing areas<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Self-cooking spaces<\/strong> for those who prefer to cook their own food.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Purified drinking water<\/strong> to ensure hygiene and safety.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>A dedicated <strong>\u2018Apna Ghar\u2019 mobile application<\/strong> has been launched.\n<ul>\n<li>The app allows: <strong>Online bookings, <\/strong><strong>User registrations and r<\/strong>eal-time access to facility information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has launched a new initiative, \u2018Apna Ghar\u2019, to improve the safety and welfare of long-haul truck drivers.
