It finally joins the Brahmaputra at a place known as Kopilimukh.<\/li>\n<li>It is the <strong>largest south bank tributary of the Brahmaputra<\/strong> in Assam.<\/li>\n<li>It is <strong>surrounded by the Jayanti Hills on the west and the South Cachar and Mikir Hills<\/strong> on the east.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tributaries:<\/strong> In its upper part<strong>,<\/strong> the river gets water from smaller rivers like Kharkor, Myntriang, Dinar, Longsom, Amring, Umrong, Longku, and Langkri.\n<ul>\n<li>In the lower areas of Assam, it is joined by other rivers such as Diyung, Jamuna, Umkhen-Borapani, Killing, Umtrew (also called Digaru), and Kolong.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: In a significant move towards reviving river-based trade and promoting sustainable logistics in Assam, National Waterway-57 (River Kopili) has been made operational.
