Each school has a <strong>login ID and password<\/strong>. Data is entered through the <strong>Data Capture Format (DCF)<\/strong> at the school level. UDISE+ thus serves as a single, standardised mechanism for compiling school-wise data across the country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Highlights of UDISE+ Report 2024-25<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Dropout Rates Decline:<\/strong> Dropouts fell across levels-Preparatory at 2.3%, Middle at 3.5%, and Secondary at 8.2%.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Retention Improves:<\/strong> Student retention rose to 98.9% at the Foundational level, 92.4% at Preparatory, 82.8% at Middle, and 47.2% at Secondary.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Enrolment Growth:<\/strong> Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) increased to 90.3% in Middle grades and 68.5% at Secondary level.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Smooth Transitions:<\/strong> Progression rates between stages improved-98.6% from Foundational to Preparatory, 92.2% from Preparatory to Middle, and 86.6% from Middle to Secondary.<\/li>\n<li><strong>School Infrastructure Upgrades:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Schools with computers rose to 64.7% from 57.2% last year.<\/li>\n<li>Internet connectivity reached 63.5%, up from 53.9%.<\/li>\n<li>Electricity access is available in 93.6% of schools; safe drinking water in 99.3%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sanitation facilities are nearly universal:<\/strong> girls&#8217; toilets (97.3%), boys&#8217; toilets (96.2%), handwashing stations (95.9%).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Inclusivity:<\/strong> Schools with ramps and handrails increased to 54.9%, enhancing accessibility for children with disabilities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Single-Teacher and Zero-Enrolment Schools:<\/strong> Single-teacher schools declined by 6%, while zero-enrolment schools dropped by 38%.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gender Representation in Teaching:<\/strong> Female teachers now constitute 54.2% of the workforce.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: The UDISE+ Report 2024-25 shows a decline of 11.13 lakh students in 2024\u201325 over 2023\u201324, led by government and government-aided schools, while private schools recorded an increase.
