TH<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>The \u2018Vedic Clock\u2019 is the <strong>world<\/strong>\u2019<strong>s first timepiece<\/strong> engineered to display time based on the <strong>ancient Hindu Panchang <\/strong>(time calculation system).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Developed by<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Lucknow-based Sanstha Arohan<\/li>\n<li>It is installed on an <strong>85-foot tower<\/strong> within the <strong>Jantar Mantar complex in Ujjain<\/strong>, Madhya Pradesh.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Features<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>It offers details on <strong>planetary positions, Muhurat, astrological computations, and forecasts<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>It also displays Indian Standard Time (<strong>IST<\/strong>) and Greenwich Mean Time (<strong>GMT<\/strong>).<\/li>\n<li>It can be <strong>connected to the internet<\/strong> and offers numerous features through <strong>a mobile app named after the clock.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Operational Mechanism<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The clock will measure time <strong>between two sunrises<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The time span between the two sunrises will be <strong>split into 30 segments<\/strong>, with <strong>each hour comprising 48 minutes<\/strong>, according to ISD.<\/li>\n<li>The measurement will <strong>begin at 0:00,<\/strong> coinciding with <strong>sunrise<\/strong>, and will continue for 30 hours (where each hour equals 48 minutes).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Mobile App of Vikramaditya Vedic Clock<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The mobile app is available in <strong>189 languages<\/strong> and carries <strong>calendar and religious information<\/strong> spanning <strong>7,000 years<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>It contains rare information about <strong><em>Panchang<\/em><\/strong><strong>, <\/strong><strong><em>Tithi<\/em><\/strong><strong>, <em>Nakshatra<\/em>, <em>Yoga<\/em>, <em>Karan<\/em><\/strong><strong>, Day, Month, <\/strong><strong><em>Vrat <\/em><\/strong><strong>[fasts] and festivals<\/strong> of more than 7,000 years from 3,179 <strong><em>Vikram Purva<\/em><\/strong> [birth of <em>Shri <\/em>Krishna], during the <strong>Mahabharata period. <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>There is also information about <strong>30 different auspicious and inauspicious <em>Muhurats<\/em><\/strong> and an alarm facility for religious works, fasts and meditation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Temporal and spatial importance of Ujjain<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Ujjain has a long-standing <strong>heritage in timekeeping<\/strong>, spanning centuries.<\/li>\n<li>It has played a crucial role in establishi<strong>ng India\u2019s time zones and differences.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Location:<\/strong> It is <strong>situated<\/strong> precisely at the <strong>intersection point of the zero meridian and the Tropic of Cancer.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Before the adoption<\/strong> of the 82.5E longitude for IST, Ujja<strong>in (75.78E) was regarded as India\u2019s time meridian.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Vikrami Panchang and Vikram Samvat<\/strong> calendars are also <strong>released<\/strong> from Ujjain, making it the perfect location for the Vedic Clock.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister launched a \u2018Vedic clock\u2019 and its mobile app, on 1st September 2025.
