{"id":345804,"date":"2025-09-06T18:29:28","date_gmt":"2025-09-06T12:59:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/?p=345804"},"modified":"2025-09-06T18:29:28","modified_gmt":"2025-09-06T12:59:28","slug":"rajasthans-coaching-centre-bill-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/rajasthans-coaching-centre-bill-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Rajasthan\u2019s Coaching Centre Bill, 2025\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>News:<\/strong> Recently, the Rajasthan Assembly has passed a new Bill to regulate the coaching centre industry in the state\u00a0to <strong data-start=\"154\" data-end=\"208\">cre<\/strong>ate a healthier and more supportive environment for students.<\/p>\n<h2>About Rajasthan\u2019s Coaching Centre Bill, 2025<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_345814\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-345814\" style=\"width: 392px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-345814\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/forumias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Source-NDTV-2.jpg?resize=392%2C218&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"392\" height=\"218\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/forumias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Source-NDTV-2.jpg?resize=300%2C167&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/forumias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Source-NDTV-2.jpg?resize=768%2C428&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/forumias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Source-NDTV-2.jpg?w=954&amp;ssl=1 954w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 392px) 100vw, 392px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-345814\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source &#8211; NDTV<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>It was passed by the <strong>Rajasthan Assembly on September 3, 2025<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>It aims to <strong>protect students\u2019 interests<\/strong>, provide <strong>career guidance<\/strong>, ensure <strong>psychological counselling<\/strong>, and promote <strong>holistic development<\/strong> while preparing for competitive exams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Provisions of the Bill<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The law will apply <strong>only to coaching centres with more than 100 students.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Establishment of Regulatory Authority:\u00a0<\/span><\/b>The proposed law will be implemented by the <strong>Rajasthan Coaching Centres (Control and Regulation) Authority<\/strong>, which will include senior education officials, police representatives, a psychiatrist, and members representing coaching centres and parents.\n<ul>\n<li>At the district level, <strong>committees will be formed with the district magistrate, superintendent of police, and chief medical and health officer as members.<\/strong> These committees will be responsible for registering coaching centres, ensuring their compliance with the law, and establishing grievance redressal cells.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Fee control: <\/span><\/b>They will <strong>also monitor various aspects of coaching centres,<\/strong> such as fee structures, handling of complaints, and the conduct of teaching.<\/li>\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Compulsory registration: <\/span><\/b>All <strong>coaching centres will be required to apply for registration within three months of the Act coming into effect<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>A centre must provide at least one sq. m of space per student and appoint tutors with a minimum of a graduate degree<\/li>\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Prohibition on misleading advertisements: Coaching must r<\/span><\/b>efrain from making misleading promises or guarantees about ranks or marks.<\/li>\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Counselling System:\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span>Coaching centres must have a <strong>counselling system in place and maintain a website with updated information about tutors\u2019 qualifications, hostel facilities, fee policies, and success rates.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Maximum class time limit: <\/span><\/b>Both students and teachers must be given weekly days off, and classes cannot exceed five hours a day.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Penalty:<\/strong> Any violation of these provisions will invite a fine of \u20b950,000 for the first offence and \u20b92 lakh for the second.
