NE-SPARKS<\/strong><\/td>\nIt is North East Students’ Programme for Awareness, Reach, and Knowledge on Space (NE-SPARKS).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Launched by<\/strong><\/td>\nIt is a flagship initiative supported by the Ministry of Development of North-East Region (MDoNER )<\/strong> in collaboration with 8 North Eastern States<\/strong> and ISRO<\/strong>.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Purpose<\/strong><\/td>\nTo ignite curiosity<\/strong> and foster awareness about space science and technology<\/strong> among students<\/strong> from the North Eastern Region (NER<\/strong>) of India.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Eligibility<\/strong><\/td>\nIt envisages exposure visits for 800 meritorious science students (100 from each state of 8 <\/strong>NER)<\/strong> to premier ISRO Centres at Bengaluru.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Time period <\/strong><\/td>\nEight batches from April 2025 to December 2025<\/strong>, with at least one month between batches.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Funding Mechanism<\/strong><\/td>\nMinistry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) and State Governments<\/strong> in a 60:40 ratio<\/strong>.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Implementing Ministry<\/strong><\/td>\nMDoNER<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Implementing Agency<\/strong><\/td>\nNorth Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC)<\/strong> as nodal agency from ISRO<\/strong>, with support from Capacity Building & Public Outreach (CBPO), ISRO HQ.<\/p>\n

In collaboration with eight NER state governments.<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Objectives<\/strong><\/td>\nBridge geographical and informational gaps through immersive exposure to India\u2019s space research and exploration.<\/p>\n

To inspire students to envision futures in STEM by witnessing cutting-edge technologies and interacting with eminent scientists and engineers.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
