decision-making <\/strong>body<strong>. <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It <strong>consists of representatives from all Participating States,<\/strong> and <strong>they meet once a year, usually in December. <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The Plenary Chair <strong>rotates annually among member states.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>All decisions are <strong>made by consensus.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h2>Other Export Control Regimes<\/h2>\n<h2>About Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG):<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>NSG is a group of <strong>nuclear supplier countries <\/strong>that frames and implements agreed <strong>rules for exporting nuclear equipment<\/strong> with a view to <strong>controlling the spread of nuclear weapons.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Setup in:<\/strong> It was set up as a response to India\u2019s nuclear tests <strong>conducted in 1974.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Aim:<\/strong> To ensure that <strong>nuclear trade for peaceful purposes<\/strong> does not contribute to the proliferation of nuclear weapons.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Members:<\/strong> The NSG has<strong> 48 member <\/strong>states and the<strong> European Commission<\/strong> acts as an <strong>Observer<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>About\u00a0Australia Group<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The Australia Group is an<strong> informal forum <\/strong>that helps exporting and transshipping countries reduce the risk of aiding<strong> chemical and biological weapons (CBW) proliferation.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It <strong>meets annually<\/strong> to improve national export licensing measures.<\/li>\n<li>It <strong>imposes no legally binding obligations<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>All participants are parties to the <strong>Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) and Biological Weapons Convention (BWC).<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Members:<\/strong> The Australia Group now has<strong> 43 members, <\/strong>comprising all <strong>OECD countries, European Commission, all <span style=\"color: #000000\">27 EU member states\u00a0<\/span>as well as Ukraine and Argentina.\u00a0 <\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>India <\/strong>has been a member of it since<strong> 2018.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>About Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR)<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a<strong> multilateral export control regime <\/strong>to control the<strong> spread of missiles and missile technology<\/strong> that is capable of delivering weapons of mass destruction(WMDs).<\/li>\n<li>It was formed in <strong>1987 and it has 35 member countries. <\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>India <\/strong>is part of it since June, 2016.<span style=\"color: #ff0000\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Objective:<\/strong> To restrict the<strong> transfer of missile technology<\/strong>\u00a0that can be used for the delivery of WMDs.<\/li>\n<li>It seeks to prevent the spread of missiles and their related technology that can carry payloads beyond a certain range.<\/li>\n<li>The MTCR operates on the<strong> basis of voluntary
