<strong>Prime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDDKY)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The initiative is designed to <strong>improve agricultural performance<\/strong> in districts with <strong>low productivity and limited access to resources<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Goal: <\/strong>To boost agricultural productivity, improve infrastructure, enhance irrigation, promote crop diversification, and expand farmers\u2019 access to credit and markets.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Purpose:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>To transform underperforming agricultural regions into <strong>high-growth, sustainable, and resilient agricultural hubs<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure <strong>balanced regional development<\/strong> in the agricultural sector across states and union territories.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Criteria for Selection: <\/strong>Districts have been identified based on <strong>three<\/strong> main factors:\n<ul>\n<li>Low crop productivity<\/li>\n<li>Moderate crop intensity<\/li>\n<li>Below-average access to institutional credit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Implementation Framework:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Each district will prepare a <strong>District Agriculture Development Plan (DADP)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The programme will operate through <strong>convergence of 36 existing schemes<\/strong> from <strong>11 central departments<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Monitoring: <\/strong><strong>100 Central Nodal Officers (CNOs),<\/strong> mainly Joint Secretaries have been appointed to <strong>oversee and monitor<\/strong> the progress of these districts.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Distribution: <\/strong>A total of <strong>100 districts<\/strong> has been chosen across <strong>29 states
