\u2018Sugamya Bharat App\u2019 at the Purple Fest in Goa.\u00a0The revamped version builds upon the original app launched under the Accessible India Campaign (Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan).<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>About Sugamya Bharat App<\/strong><\/h2>\n<figure style=\"width: 395px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" sensitising and enhancing accessibility<\/strong> in the built environment, transportation sector and ICT ecosystem in India.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"625\" data-end=\"784\"><strong>Launched by:<\/strong> Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (<strong>DEPwD<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"625\" data-end=\"784\"><strong data-start=\"625\" data-end=\"637\">Purpose:<\/strong> To create a <strong data-start=\"650\" data-end=\"679\">digitally inclusive India<\/strong> by making accessibility information and services easily available to persons with disabilities (PwDs).<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"787\" data-end=\"914\"><strong data-start=\"787\" data-end=\"798\">Vision:<\/strong> Serves as <strong data-start=\"809\" data-end=\"846\">India\u2019s digital accessibility hub<\/strong> under the <strong data-start=\"857\" data-end=\"911\">Accessible India Campaign (Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"917\" data-end=\"944\"><strong data-start=\"917\" data-end=\"942\">Developed by: <\/strong>The app has been developed with the support of the SBI Foundation and in technical partnership with NAB Delhi, ISTEM, and Mission Accessibility.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"917\" data-end=\"944\"><strong>Features:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"917\" data-end=\"944\">The <strong data-start=\"708\" data-end=\"730\">Sugamya Bharat App<\/strong> has been redesigned with a <strong data-start=\"758\" data-end=\"805\">user-first and accessibility-first approach<\/strong> to serve as <strong data-start=\"818\" data-end=\"855\">India\u2019s digital accessibility hub<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>It is available in 23 languages.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"917\" data-end=\"944\">It <strong>provides persons with disabilities easy access to information, government schemes, and services<\/strong>, thereby promoting digital inclusion and empowerment.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">The app also features <strong data-start=\"1418\" data-end=\"1456\">curated job and education listings<\/strong> from <strong>both government and private sectors,<\/strong> specifically tailored for persons with disabilities.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"917\" data-end=\"944\">The app is <strong data-start=\"1754\" data-end=\"1782\">screen reader compatible<\/strong>, supports <strong data-start=\"1793\" data-end=\"1813\">voice navigation<\/strong>, and offers <strong data-start=\"1826\" data-end=\"1852\">multi-language options<\/strong> to ensure accessibility for all users.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"917\" data-end=\"944\">It is fully compatible with <strong data-start=\"1927\" data-end=\"1953\">assistive technologies<\/strong> and available for download on both <strong data-start=\"1989\" data-end=\"2018\">Android and iOS platforms<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"917\" data-end=\"944\">The app includes an <strong data-start=\"1042\" data-end=\"1075\">accessibility mapping feature<\/strong> that allows users<strong> to locate and rate public places based on accessibility standards,<\/strong> encouraging community-driven data collection.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"917\" data-end=\"944\">It offers a <strong data-start=\"1225\" data-end=\"1252\">comprehensive directory of government schemes, scholarships, benefits, and employment opportunities,<\/strong> eliminating the need to visit multiple websites or portals.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"917\" data-end=\"944\">Through its <strong data-start=\"1570\" data-end=\"1600\">grievance redressal module<\/strong>, users can directly report issues
