Postal money orders or cash disbursement at doorstep are permitted in exceptional cases<\/li>\n<li><strong>Monitoring and Reporting: <\/strong>Each State\/UT appoints a <strong>Nodal Secretary<\/strong> to oversee implementation and coordination. States must submit <strong>quarterly progress reports<\/strong> by the 15th of the month following each quarter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Components of NSAP<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme (IGNOAPS): <\/strong>Provides monthly pension to elderly individuals <strong>aged 60 years and above<\/strong> living below the poverty line.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme (IGNWPS): <\/strong>Offers monthly pension to widows <strong>aged 40\u201359 years<\/strong> from BPL households.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme (IGNDPS): <\/strong>Extends pension support to persons with <strong>severe or multiple disabilities (80% or more)<\/strong> from BPL families, aged <strong>18\u201379 years<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>National Family Benefit Scheme (NFBS): <\/strong>Grants a <strong>one-time lump sum<\/strong> to BPL families on the death of the primary breadwinner aged <strong>18\u201359 years<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Annapurna Scheme: <\/strong>Provides <strong>10 kg of food grains (free of cost)<\/strong> every month to eligible senior citizens who qualify for old-age pension but do not receive monetary benefits under IGNOAPS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: The National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) is a fully funded\u00a0Centrally Sponsored Scheme\u00a0that extends financial support to individuals living below poverty line (BPL).
