{"id":350709,"date":"2025-11-26T15:47:57","date_gmt":"2025-11-26T10:17:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/?p=350709"},"modified":"2025-11-26T15:47:57","modified_gmt":"2025-11-26T10:17:57","slug":"exercise-suryakiran-xix-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/exercise-suryakiran-xix-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Exercise SURYAKIRAN XIX &#8211; 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>News:<\/strong> The 19<sup>th<\/sup> edition of Joint Military exercise \u201cExercise SURYAKIRAN XIX &#8211; 2025\u201d commenced recently at Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify\">About Exercise SURYAKIRAN XIX &#8211; 2025<\/h2>\n<figure style=\"width: 482px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/static.pib.gov.in\/WriteReadData\/userfiles\/image\/IMG_0916FLS8.JPG?resize=482%2C271&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"EXERCISE SURYAKIRAN XIX \u2013 2025\" width=\"482\" height=\"271\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: PIB<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li><strong>2025 edition:<\/strong> It is the <strong>19th edition <\/strong>of the<strong> India\u2013Nepal Joint Military Exercise SURYAKIRAN XIX \u2013 2025.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Duration:<\/strong> It will be conducted from <strong>25 November 2025 to\u00a008 December 2025.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Location:<\/strong> <strong>Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong><strong>Participating Contingents: <\/strong><\/strong>Both India and Nepal have<strong> 334 personnel each, from the Assam Regiment and Devi Datta Regiment respectively.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Aim:<\/strong>\u00a0To enable both armies <strong>to jointly rehearse the conduct of sub-conventional operations under Chapter VII of the United Nations mandate.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Objective:<\/strong> Preparing troops for peacekeeping tasks by improving their operational readiness and coordination.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Scope: <\/strong>The exercise seeks <strong>to strengthen battalion-level synergy in executing jungle warfare operations.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Training Focus: <\/strong>It focuses <strong>on refining counter-terrorism tactics<\/strong> suitable for mountainous terrain.\n<ul>\n<li>The training also includes<strong> modules on Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR).<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Participants <strong>will practice coordinated medical response and casualty evacuation procedures.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Environmental conservation measures<\/strong> form a part of the joint training activities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Integrated ground and aviation operations will be rehearsed<\/strong> to improve real-time coordination.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Use of Emerging Technologies:<\/strong> The exercise places significant emphasis on incorporating niche and emerging technologies into field training.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) will be employed<\/strong> to enhance surveillance and operational planning.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Drone-based ISR platforms will be used<\/strong> to demonstrate modern reconnaissance capabilities.
