The sanctuary lies near the <strong>confluence of the Wardha and Wainganga rivers.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Tribe:<\/strong>\u00a0The sanctuary is home to the <strong>indigenous Gond tribal community.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"855\" data-end=\"1018\"><strong data-start=\"855\" data-end=\"869\">Vegetation:<\/strong> The sanctuary is dominated by <strong>southern tropical dry deciduous forests<\/strong> interspersed with grasslands, creating ideal conditions for varied wildlife.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1495\" data-end=\"1636\"><strong data-start=\"1495\" data-end=\"1514\">Flora:<\/strong> The sanctuary\u2019s flora includes <strong>teak, Arjun, salai, mahua, bel, dhawada, tendu, sissoo, and semal<\/strong> as major tree species.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fauna:<\/strong> Chaprala Wildlife Sanctuary is home to <strong>around 131 species of wild animals<\/strong>.\n<ul>\n<li>Bengal tiger, leopard, jungle cat, sloth bear, wild dogs, jackals, Sambar deer, spotted deer, barking deer, blue bull (nilgai), wild boar, Flying squirrels are found in the sanctuary.<\/li>\n<li>The sanctuary also hosts around <strong>131 species of birds<\/strong> along with seasonal migratory birds.<\/li>\n<li>Reptiles such as\u00a0Indian python, common Indian monitor, and various snake species inhabit the sanctuary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: A rare striated grassbird was sighted in Chaprala Wildlife Sanctuary in Gadchiroli, marking a major range expansion in Maharashtra.
