India has definitely not performed well in achieving inclusive growth.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>What necessary conditions should the state follow to bring in inclusivity and mitigate income disparity?<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The present skewed income growth pattern needs to be curbed<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The issue of unemployment needs to addressed urgently<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The taxation structure also needs to be looked at for examining correctives like gift tax, wealth tax, estate duty etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Country of a chosen few:\u00a0 Context: The paper by Thomas Piketty and Lucas Chancel, \u2018Indian Income Inequality 1922-2014 \u2014 From British Raj to Billionaire Raj?\u2019 has shown that income inequality in India is at its highest level since 1922.
